WELCOME TO THE BLOG

Our multi-talented boy

One of my favorite things about our Jack is that he is so unashamedly HIM! I can remember, even at this age, being subject to peer pressure, and conforming to what the other little girls around me were “into” or how they dressed. Not my sweet boy. He loves to dance, and loves to draw, and wants to be a mixed martial artist when he grows up, and is more and more comfortable every day just being himself!

Now that school is over and Jack’s dance program has ended for the year, I thought I’d share a few pictures of what he’s been doing. I know it’s not official McG stuff, but we’re just so proud of him. 🙂

Jack played baseball with the Morgan Mill Mustangs this year, and did an incredible job for his team. Lots of good hits and good plays in the field. We’re already looking forward to next year!

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined He also took dance lessons throughout the school year. There were a few other boys in his class when he started, but by the end of the year, it was just he and one other little dude. I think both of them deserve HUGE rounds of applause for sticking it out. They learned a lot, and I hope he’ll keep dancing throughout this life. Nothin’ hunkier than a man with rhythm, right? 🙂

Before his recital on Saturday, I took a few pictures of him in his costume. In this first one, he still has gum in his mouth. *Hand/forehead* Oh well, I can’t catch everything!

The jacket for Jack’s costume was REALLY loud… quite the statement piece. It totally fit in up on stage, though. 🙂

undefinedundefined And finally, a shot from the finale of their big number!

Thank you readers for indulging me as I brag on my wonderful son. I know there have been times in the past year when it’s seemed like he was in the background while we all got used to having Dottie around… but make no mistake, this little boy will always be my #1.

Don’t forget to check out a new post on the Girls On Film blog today (if you’re into that sort of thing 🙂 ), and come back tomorrow to see a sweet new engagement session.
