We’ve talked to Angela & Garrett a lot about their wedding over the last 9 months. Admittedly, we talked more to Angela than to Garrett, but still… the message was unified. What mattered the MOST to them on December 1st was being able to focus on each other. They wanted to be able to drown out the noise, to ignore the world, and just soak up the fact that, “HOLY COW! We just got married!!” We did our very best to help them carve out this time for themselves, to create an oasis of romance in the craziness of the day.

It helped to have such a generous amount of time for bride & groom portraits! Together with their fabulous getaway car, we explored Shiner, TX and captured some memories that I hope, years down the line, will remind them of what December 1st, 2012 was all about… Angela & Garrett, together, forever. 🙂

The University of Texas and A&M got equal billing in this reception, but I’m confident that the old adage about “a house divided” won’t prove true in this instance. 🙂

Family heirlooms and quilts were a major theme in reception decor… I loved seeing all this antique handiwork!

This dear Grandmother received this “lei” made of tiny bottles of Crown Royal after a trip Angela & Garrett took to Hawaii a few years back. She told them then, “I’ll drink it at your wedding”. Not only did she remember… she handled it like a champ! 🙂
