WELCOME TO THE BLOG

Nikki & Forrest : Engagement

After  numerous overseas deployments, countless tears shed over nights apart, and 13 years of happy memories together, Nikki & Forrest are FINALLY getting married! Well, at least, Nikki uses the “finally”. We were so excited to hear from this awesome couple, whom we first met back in the summer of 2011 when we photographed Nikki’s sister’s wedding in Hawaii. We had a blast on that adventure with Nikki & Forrest, and we had all our fingers crossed that when they decided to tie the knot, we’d be there to capture it for them!

The wedding will be held at the end of November in Fredericksburg, and we know with all the hard work Nikki is putting into planning the event, it’s going to be absolutely gorgeous. We met up with the bride & groom-to-be in Bluff Dale one morning last week and got them more comfortable with what it feels like to be in front of a McG lens. 🙂

Thanks to an unseasonably-wet & mild couple of weeks, these purple flowers were blooming all over again just like springtime! And they were AUDIBLY buzzing with HUNDREDS of bees. It was awesome, but also a little unnerving!

There are so many fun little touches of whimsy around the Greenwood Saloon property in Glen Rose…

Through all the time Nikki & Forrest have to spend apart, she says their dog Shelby is her “rock”. Such a sweet friend, and one of the easier dogs we’ve ever photographed!

Your big day is almost here, guys! These next couple of months will absolutely fly by, and before you know it, you’ll be Man & Wife. 🙂 We can’t wait to see you again!

These are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! I have already picked out a ton that I want to hang up on my wall…the normal problem I have with the McGowan’s photos is that I want to hang them all! And I still need to leave room for wedding photo’s. LOVE the photo’s with my little Shelby girl too! You can bet those will be up on my wall too! They did a great job at capturing the love (be it goofy love at times) you two have for each other 🙂
