We knew immediately upon meeting Shelley & Matt that they were going to be a great fit for McGowan Images. After all, that’s why we agreed to spend our own wedding anniversary photographing their special day. 🙂
But even knowing how great they are… even after laughing our way through their killer engagement session… even after a thoroughly pleasant planning experience, we still weren’t prepared for how much we would LOVE shooting this wedding. Every aspect of the day was keyed around Shelley & Matt being able to soak up time with each other, and time with the friends & family who flew from all over the country to celebrate with them. This wedding was a how-to guide in pitch-perfect priorities… not to mention little pockets of gorgeousness everywhere we turned.
The N at Hard Way is one of our all time favorite venues, and it never fails to disappoint us no matter the season. Between moody clouds and intermittent sunbursts, it was the perfect backdrop for this country event!
Shelley’s father is such a great guy… this photo of him seeing his little girl for the first time as a bride just chokes me up!
There’s no shortage of portrait locations at the N… especially when we have time to really make the most of the property!
Thank the Lord for clients who don’t even blink when I suggest something insane like standing on tree stumps…
Just as the sun started peeking through the clouds, it was ceremony time!
Mr. & Mrs. Tumelson!
Get excited, folks… we’ve got even MORE prettiness coming up bright & early tomorrow!
Just beautiful!!!!!! Can’t hardly stand it. And can’t wait to put that dress back on tonight!! See y’all soon!!
These are spectacular. Again. I’m smiling with my eyes filled with tears. What a phenomenal day. 🙂
Sooo beautiful! Shelley you look incredible. I absolutely LOVE the photo of you and your mom/dad! But the tree stump photos are by far and away my faves!
A few of you know that this bubbly young lady was a miracle baby – born too soon. From her first moments on this earth she has lived a passionate and expressive life. These photos capture her essence and make her mommy smile once again – Shelley the “minister of the gift of life”
OH MY GEEZ! So so so so so so good! That B&W close up of them holding hands in the ceremony is to die for!
