Last Thursday, Rachel & Mervin added another incredible date to their love story… their wedding date. The beautiful bride is my cousin, meaning I’ve known her for her entire life, and watching her get married to her high school sweetheart was so wonderful. These two really have been able to grow up together, and Mack and I were both so honored to be asked to capture the journey for them. Especially because Rachel made it very clear that they weren’t hiring us because we’re family… it was because they love our work. That meant the WORLD to us!
Old Stone Hall was a perfect venue for this summer wedding, and a big blue sky with just the right amount of breeze was a gorgeous backdrop. And, if I do say so myself, this bride & groom had the cutest flowergirl and usher of all time. 😉 (hint, our kids).
It’s a special kind of pressure to know you’ve got family chomping at the bit to see wedding pictures, so I’ll just cut to the good part… check out some of our favorite images of the day!
Ahhhh!! This moment made me all weepy. It gets REAL when you put that dress on!
Yep, no shame… definitely the cutest flower girl EVER.
Longtime McG followers (and fans of great music) will recognize Sam Behymer in this next photo. She sang Ed Sheeran’s “Tenerife Sea” during the candle lighting, and it was sublime.
And just like that, Mr. & Mrs. Medina!
Can you spy the oldest McG kid there on the right side? Such a stud.
These chandeliers were hung specifically for this wedding… hats off to my uncle for engineering this bit of “extra”, because it was totally gorgeous!
We each took quick breaks to dance with our kids, and I’m so glad I caught this shot of Mack spinning Dorothy around the floor. Family weddings can be fun even if we’re working!
Rachel & Mervin, we’re so proud of you both. We know you’ve still got so much adventure ahead of you, and we can’t wait to watch it happen. We love you… and congratulations! 🙂
Mack & Chelsea,
Amazing! You captured the day beautifully! I smiled and cried the whole time I looked at the pictures… They are as happy and wonderful as the day was for us. Now, we will have the gorgeous images to remind us of how special and wonderful Rachel & Mervin’s wedding day was. Your work is captivating. Thank you so much! We love you!!
Mack & Chelsea,
So many great pictures! Every time I’d find one I thought was my favorite, another “favorite” would appear! Thank you so much for sharing this special day with us, and thank you for capturing so many special moments. Uncle Rick.
ps. you ONLY made my eyes water.
pss. OK so the postscript was a lie!
Rachel you were a beautiful bride! Your day was beautiful, and Chelsea so exciting that your sister was able to come in and be there. So pretty! You guys always do such an amazing job! LOVE all of these pictures. Rachel and Mervin you look so happy! Wishing you two many many years of happiness!
