It’s happened to us a couple of times… a bride says they’re getting married at a private home, and she says something like “It’s a backyard wedding, pretty laid back.”
And every time a couple has described their wedding that way, they’ve been right. Laid back and fun, AND “at home”. But come on just a damn second… if my house looked like this, I’d never ever leave not ever.
McKenna & Eli were married on May 21st at the home of a family friend, and the entire day was pretty jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The rain in the forecast disappeared into lovely soft clouds and a clear night, and this couple’s happiness really was just SO evident. You could tell in a second that what really mattered to them was being married. All the gorgeousness that surrounded them… all the friends & family & loveliness of the day… they saw that as a bonus, and a bonus they were crazy grateful for. Beautiful spirits, these two. They were a joy to photograph.
Check out an abbreviated version of their wedding story… and try not to swoon too hard. 😉
I loved this ceremony set up. It made the best use of the property, and allowed the guests to really SEE what was happening on McKenna & Eli’s faces as they said their vows.
Mr. & Mrs. Caldera! The happy just kind of explodes out of this photo… and you can’t help but be happy FOR them.
The bride danced with her father, and the groom with his mother, before coming together and opening the floor with their own special dance. And the light got PERFECT just about the time the newlyweds took the floor… couldn’t have planned it better.
Congratulations, y’all. With such an outstanding support system, we have no doubt you’re going to really rock this whole “being married” thing. 😉
