Our last wedding of the year always carries a lot of pressure, whether that’s fair or not. We obviously like to end every year on a high note… happy people, smooth day, killer dance party. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it’s a little harder. But this year? We ended 2016 with a doozy of a wedding that ended up being one of our favorites of the year. Regardless of the fact that the outdoor reception kept rocking even when it was under 40 degrees, it was a blast to shoot… nothing wrong with shooting all bundled up with gloves. 🙂
Caitlin & Gerrod, your love story is so sweet, and the way you love everyone around you is so evident. Having the wedding at home made the whole thing feel intimate, even though there was no shortage of guests! We’d be hard pressed to recall a reception more full of people happy to freeze their butts off because the celebration was just. that. important.
Here’s a quick look through the wedding day, just a few of our very favorites…
It was so cold our phones wouldn’t register our fingers, but that gorgeous bride didn’t feel anything but happy. Might have had something to do with the groom she got to snuggle with all evening. 😉 Caitlin, we LOVE your family so much, and now we know we really like Gerrod’s too. Congratulations on ending your 2016 with a bang… we know 2017 is going to be so much fun for y’all!
