WELCOME TO THE BLOG

Jon & Anna : Vancouver Wedding Pt. 2

Yesterday’s blog post was all about Jon & Anna… the sweet couple getting ready, seeing each other for the first time, and lovin’ on each other all over Stanley Park in Vancouver, B.C. Today, well, there are absolutely more pictures of Jon & Anna. 🙂 But more than that, these images include those people that loved them enough to fly from all over the U.S. to watch them become Man & Wife. This intimate ceremony and teahouse reception were the perfect celebration of Jon & Anna’s love, and we were so honored to be welcomed into this close group of family & friends!

The wedding ceremony took place on Third Beach, and as I said yesterday, the weather was gorgeous beyond what any of us had dared to hope for…

Anna’s brother put down dirt from Fort Worth, TX, so that the bride could get married on her “home soil” just like the groom did. 🙂

The ceremony was performed by Anna’s father, and gah… such a stunning backdrop!

Readings were done by a few family members, and Jon & Anna were attended by each of their brothers, which made it very much a family affair!

Man & Wife!! Finally, right guys? 😉

I don’t normally post family portraits here on the blog, but with such a great group of parents & friends, I just couldn’t resist!

This little guy trotted right through formal picture time, carrying a stick that weighed more than he did. Luckily, the laugh he elicited made for a pretty fun “Girls in Rainboots” image, also seen below…

Thanks once again to megBdesign for this gorgeous bouquet! And thanks to Betsy for running out into traffic to steal greenery from the median and complete the look. 🙂

Yep, that’s right — even MORE lovely portraits! I could just shoot these gorgeous people all day… wait! We did that! 🙂

Doesn’t that fur coat just make you want to cry in the BEST way. I love a good heirloom, and Anna looks like a silent film star in it!

With such a small guest list, everyone has time to say a little something in toast to the Bride & Groom…

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Avidon! We are so grateful to you for taking us on this adventure, and being so wonderful to work with. May your marriage be long, happy, and blessed!

Blogstalkers, can you believe it… it’s November! And we don’t have a single wedding this month! Don’t worry, though, we’ve got an absolute TON of portrait sessions coming your way, so I promise you’ll never be bored. And what we’ve got coming up this Monday is extra special, so don’t miss it! 🙂

  7. megB says:

I’m going to echo the other commenters: this is by far my new favorite McG wedding. Even if I hadn’t know the couple, or been involved with the wedding, or been present for the whole beautiful affair – the way you captured this event is timeless, romantic, and just – over-the-top stunning. Proud of you, friend!

  8. Mandaroo says:

A super incredible theme throughout: the LIGHT!!! Oh my goodness. Total perfection. I’m stunned.

#2_07, left: I’m not sure why, but this photo is just striking. I think it is a beautiful thing for the bride’s father to perform the service. It shows a unity in the new family.

#2_26: YAY for rain boots and friends and awesome Vancouver weather and the beach! This whole post makes me smile, really big!

    #2_29: MegB FTW! A-mazing details!

#2_32 through _36: My favorite shots for sure. 32, 33, & 34 are complete home runs. Wowsers. McG rules. And the bride & groom are beaming. Perfect combo.

#2_38: Anna totally looks like a glamor girl of the silent film era. Jon is one lucky man.

#2_44, left: This belongs in a quality design magazine. Seriously.
