Alex : Bridals | McGowan Images Blog

WELCOME TO THE BLOG

Alex : Bridals

Many of our McG brides are on the fence about the bridal session. Texas Tradition (and perhaps Mom) encourage them to book this session, but our more contemporary brides aren’t sure they want it. We never pressure our brides one way or the other… it’s important to us that McG clients are able to put together packages that are exactly what they want. So when Alex said she was going to book a bridal session at a pretty traditional venue, but wanted to try to keep a little of her adventurous spirit shining through the images, we got excited. That’s exactly the kind of challenge we like in a bridal session. 🙂

We met up with Alex and a friend at Thistle Hill in Fort Worth, and were immediately floored when we saw the bride’s gown. Holy custom lusciousness! Such a statement! Alex looked incredible in these portraits and, if possible, even MORE incredible on her wedding day.

Check out a few of our faves!

Check out this train… incredible!

I’ve gotta close with one of my favorite bridal portraits of the year… Love the simple joy in this!

Be sure to come back later in the week for more of Chris & Alex’s Grapevine wedding!

  3. […] started the day at the Hilton DFW Lakes in Grapevine, photographing Alex’s incredible dress (which you might remember from her uber gorgeous bridal portraits a few days ago) and a little of the “getting ready” […]

I love the close-up of her face and the last photo. The dress is beautiful, but it must have weighed a ton! 🙂
