Some of my “monthly” posts of Dottie’s first year have been really long, because I had a great idea, or Dot was in a great mood, or a combination of both. For her 11 month pictures, we’re a bit on the lighter side. Lighter, and late, as a matter of fact. The great thing is, though, that Texas in March has a built-in theme for photoshoots of little kids who don’t feel like playing nice for the camera… bluebonnets!
Yeah yeah yeah, I know. Everyone does pictures in the bluebonnets every year. It’s so unoriginal. 🙂 Don’t care! Bluebonnets are one of the things about Texas that I really and truly adore, and I was so excited for Dot’s first bluebonnet shots. Big Brother jumped in on the action some, as well.
The sweet dress my girl is wearing came from an open-air market on St. Thomas. Isn’t it precious?
I know it’s illegal to pick bluebonnets… but is it illegal for a reeeeeally cute baby to do it?
This is Dot’s sneaky face :
I managed to get one good shot of both my blue-eyed babies looking straight at the camera. It’s a miracle!
Now… my original plan for the 11 month session? It was all about Dottie and Gertie, our new puppy. They play so well together, and I knew it’d be adorable. Except, well… it’s kind of impossible to get an explore-crazy toddler and a sniff-crazy puppy to play nice. I got this ONE shot of the two of them together, for all my efforts. Sigh. But hey… at least I got one!
Next month is… GASP… Dottie’s first birthday. Oh man. It’s going to be epic, just wait and see!
Come back tomorrow, for sure. We’ve got a super cute engagement session to share!
That dress, those eyes, those flowers–so much cuteness!
Oh BABY!!! Can we keep her this way forever?! The last pic is one of my favorites, ever!
Sweet, sweet beh-beh!! Love her little yellow sundress! She’s such a little model. I think she’s totally “smizing” in some of these. 🙂
Oh joy… I would have picture frames and giant canvases covering every inch of my house if my little one was this adorable!
Ohhhhhhhh my goodness…there is just no way I could pick a favorite, because every single one of these shots is AMAZING! 🙂 Love love LOVE! <3
I’m totally with Misty on this one. I kept scrolling and each picture became my new favorite. They really all are perfect. All her different facial expression, both dresses, the puppy, big brother! Priceless. I remember when we did an Easter shoot with my two brothers in bluebonnets, and my baby brother (not a year old yet either) ATE a bluebonnet, so I think Dottie is safe.
Gorgeous, darling baby-girl!!! I love the photo of Dottie and Jack too!
Awww! So cute! Love her “sneaky” face! And bluebonnet sessions may be overdone but they’re overdone for a reason…they’re awesome! Can’t wait to see Dot’s first birthday pics!!!
Even with already seeing these pictures….wow! Adorable!!!! Love love love!
Nothing that cute little girl does could be illegal! Such great pictures!
oh my goodness. Chelsea. blue eyes. love it. and I’m glad you shoot in the bluebonnets. we’re lucky to have them. the last shot could totally be out of a designer magazine.
Oh my word. Those eyes, that yellow dress, all the color. Too perfect 🙂 You have beautiful babies Chelsea!
