When Lindy first emailed us, she was kind of in a hurry. She knew her fiance would only be in town for about two weeks, and they wanted to do everything they could to get an engagement session done before the fall foliage was gone… even though they didn’t have a wedding date set yet. Luckily, we had room to slot them in for a morning engagement session out here in the country, and they were happy to make the drive in to see us.

Before this last winter storm blew in, it was the prettiest autumn we’ve EVER seen in Morgan Mill. The colors were just mind blowing. We challenged ourselves to use completely new locations for Lindy & Devin’s session, and were just SO thrilled with the results. I hope these are locations we’ll be able to much more in 2014, and I’m so glad Lindy & Devin were adventurous enough to help us discover so much gorgeousness!

As luck would have it, the end of this engagement session brought a wedding booking, so we’ll get to spend lots more time with this awesome couple next summer. 🙂

That blue sky… it just kills me.

Between outfit one and outfit two, the skies darkened. That blue sky & sunshine went away, and brought with it a cooler wind and gray clouds. And you know, that was 100% fine with us! We love when we get the chance to capture two different “looks” in the same session for our couples, and the clouds let us use locations that we didn’t think were going to work at that time of day!

Lindy & Devin, it was SO wonderful to get to know you. You’re kind of a perfect McG couple, and we can’t wait to photograph another happy day in your lives. 🙂
