There’s something magical about the first wedding of the year. Flipping the calendar to a new year is a fresh start for everyone… and to start the year by beginning your lives together as Man & Wife? That’s extra-special wonderful. We’re always inspired & invigorated by our first wedding of the year, because it typically sets the tone for the next 11 months to follow. And if that’s the case in 2015… if Chris & Tayla’s joyful wedding day is what we’ve got to look forward to 20+ more times this year… well, that’s MORE than fine with us. 🙂

In case you don’t remember, it was COLD and rainy last weekend. That’s definitely not a surprise with a January wedding, but it’s still nobody’s ideal situation. Tayla handled it like a pro, though. Adrenaline kept her warm through her First Sight outside with the love of her life, and elation kept her warm on the way to the getaway car after the ceremony. And Chris? Well, this groom was kept warm by a killer suit & the glow of his radiant bride. (Corny, but true… get used to a lot of THAT happening this year, too!)

With Sabrina of The Perfect Plan on hand to make sure everything ran, well, perfectly, and DJ Rod Baker keeping the reception hopping, we were set up for success all day long!

T&P Station was decked out in classic winter finery for the reception. I really love how clean & bright everything looked in historic surroudings!

It’s always a sigh of relief when we see a DJ we love on our clients’ vendor list. A good DJ is really the key to a great reception, and there are handful in DFW we absolutely adore… believe me when I say the happies were HUGE when we realized we’d get to party with DJ Rod Baker again! Definitely one of our faves… he never lets us down when it comes to creating an atmosphere for fun dance party images.
