WELCOME TO THE BLOG

Nikki & Forrest : Wedding

We met Nikki & Forrest in 2011 in Hawaii, when we photographed Whitney & Shane’s amazing beach wedding. We knew then that it was just a matter of time before Forrest popped the question… in fact, we liked them so much that I think WE were in more of a hurry for the engagement than the bride was! πŸ™‚

But that’s the thing about Nikki & Forrest… they’re just so COMFORTABLE together. After nearly 14 years of being in love, their relationship isn’t rushed or stressed. After numerous deployments and lots of adventures, it’s about trust and never taking a moment for granted. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of THEM, the love they share, and the life they’re building together.

Even though the chilly weather and intermittent rain wasn’t what the couple had in mind, Fischer Hall was transformed into a gorgeous wedding venue fit for Texas Country royalty. And all day long, not a single person we saw was anything less than completely thrilled to be there celebrating this amazing couple!

The rose petals are down… it’s showtime!

Mr. & Mrs. O’Shay!

I don’t think I’ve EVER done portraits so fast… but these poor bridesmaids were turning blue, so we rocked through as quick as we could!

One of the groomsmen just HAPPENED to be holding a bottle of Wild Turkey, and Nikki decided that would help her deal with the cold… πŸ™‚

The happy couple started off the night with some heartfelt toasts from the Best Man and Matron of Honor.

They sang to each other throughout their first dance as Husband & Wife…

I can’t help but blog this “behind the scenes” shot of what I’m sure is the best family photo of the night. πŸ™‚

We LOVE you crazy kids, and we are SO glad we could be there to capture this gorgeous day for you. We hope you’re staying warm this week, and enjoying all the TOGETHERNESS you can stand.

Blogstalkers, don’t think that the holiday is going to keep us from sharing Nikki & Forrest’s killer “Morning After” session. We’ve got a fall foliage blog set to go up tomorrow, and we’ll be ready to melt your eyeballs Black Friday style at the end of the week. πŸ™‚ See you then!

Well, I have to say . . . “those are some amazing tablecloths!” You captured them perfectly!! In all seriousness, these pictures had me crying again!! These beautiful photos are what helps us to relive those special moments in our lives. Thank you Chelsea and Mack for sharing your time and talent in both of my daughters very special days. I don’t believe anyone could have captured the love and beauty as well as you two did.

I actually loved that you could see their wedding cake and other dΓ©cor during the ceremony. It all came off beautifully.

  4. Whitney says:

Yes I was dying to see the exit photo and I am getting a HUGE canvas of the last one and putting in my living room…GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!! I loved all the photos and it was great to relive that wedding…because it was awesome! I wish we could go back and do it all over again. There’s just something about this one – it doesn’t feel cold, or rainy or rearranged, not even in the slightest. OF COURSE you would make it feel warm and awesome, and completely the way it was supposed to be. These are some of my favorite reception images y’all have ever done – and those exit photos! EPIC!!

  6. Tara says:

    Perfect! LOVE the last shot!

  7. Toi says:

What a lovely wedding! If it was half as pretty as your pictures portray, it was rustic beauty in all it’s glory. I love the shot of the groom’s face as the bride and her dad are all standing at the front. To me, that look says “Honey, you are smoking hot”. And I also love the exit photo. It definitely needs to be on canvas somewhere! Great job! πŸ™‚

  8. Aunt Barbara says:

  9. Nikki O'Shay says:

I can’t even begin to put into words how grateful I am to have had you two not only as my talented photographers but as friends who made the experience so wonderful and fun! Ya’ll were the best decision I made regarding the wedding!….well besides marrying my handsome husband!
