Dorothy Jane is 8 days old, and I’m ready to share more of my favorites of her newborn portraits.

I think it’s pretty expected, but I’ll go ahead and say that we are crazy in love with this little girl. She’s beautiful, and so easy-going. I feel so blessed that both of my babies have been so chill! Our new favorite past-time in the McGowan house is just sitting and staring at Dorothy… even Jack. 😉

Newborn portraits are especially easy when you live with the newborn you’re photographing. I’m always around whenever she’s in the perfect mood to be a model! We’ll probably do more pictures over the next few weeks… I mean, wouldn’t you, with a baby this gorgeous? 😉

This next one’s funny… she was squirming around in this planter I was using as a prop, so I just let her squirm for a minute and try to get comfortable. The position she landed in does NOT look comfortable to me, but she loved it!

And now, the absolute master pieces. I mean, serious OMG.

And finally, the one that completely takes the cake. This image is my new favorite shot of all time, and I’m in the process of ordering it in a canvas, size MASSIVE.

The hand under the chin… her chubby legs… her sweet lips… GAH! Everything about this one just melts me to pieces.
