Blog… meet Meagan & Cody! We’re excited to introduce you to another of our fabulous 2013 couples. Although Meagan is a Fort Worth girl, and the wedding will be held in Odessa, the couple will be making their newlywed home in Archer City, TX. So we drove up north for their engagement session!
Other than ending up at the football stadium where Cody coaches, they didn’t really have any specific ideas of where in Archer City they wanted to shoot. So, even though neither Mack nor I had ever been there, we hatched a quick plan to go wherever the light looked prettiest! I just love it when a couple has complete faith in us, and sets us free to do what McG does best… get it done! (or, ya know, trespass. Whatevs.)
I’ll tell you what… we are kiiiind of ridiculously excited about this weather. I wish we could have fall sunsets and easy 70 degree temperatures all year round. Anyone else agree?

I should probably go ahead and divulge here that I have a new shooting crush on Meagan. Seriously. Her skin & hair just have this Marilyn thing going on (not a single one of these pictures of here had skin/hair retouching of any kind), and she’s just adorable. I’m already excited for bridal portraits. 🙂

On the way to the football stadium, we past this little open spot of land that just hollered at me, “Chelsea! Come take pictures here!” So we did. And although *I* didn’t get stuck by a cactus so I can’t say for sure, I think everyone else will agree it’s worth a few thorns here and there. 🙂

I love this session! Seriously I love the idea of doing some Footloose inspired moments at a small town football field and I adore those two of them hugging in the stands…. There yalls Rhen and Ariel 🙂
SO Glad you mentioned Marilyn as the first thing I said when I saw these was “wow, she is like a really pretty Megan Hilty-esque girl!” I am swooning over that dress and the first B/W in the bleachers? Perfectly adorable!

These people are SO special to us, and these pictures could not be more beautiful or perfect for them. Meag looks GORGEOUS, very “Marilyn” in these photos. Favorites are numbers, 20, 26, 30, 32, 33, & 41..BUT I LOVE 36 &37-those first two in the bleachers are perfection! You guys nailed it.

Oh my. New favorite session. She is BEAUTIFUL. I definitely see the Marilyn resemblance. There are so many stunning shots in this session – beautiful light, perfect chemistry and poses – but that picture of them hugging on the bleachers just melts my heart. Meagan – WOW. Oh. my. gosh. This is HOTT!? Wowsers. I agree with Meg – definitely a new favorite. Marilyn all the way. Skin and hair are PERFECTION. I was like, daaaaaaaang, Chels got skills!? (And you do.) But WHOA momma! Mr. Cody, bro, you picked yourself a fiiine lady to marry. Just sayin’. 😉 I can see Footloose, totally. (That movie holds a special place in my heart, thanks to McG.) I could totally go overboard here and tell you every favorite shot, but I don’t want to bore everyone else to tears. If you want to know Chelsea, I can shoot over an email filled with loads of praise. 🙂 If I had to pick ONE (ugh…I have no clue how you limit your blog posts. McG is too good to limit. Please feel free to post more. Always.) I would definitely pick #8 – the “perfectly framed, gorgeously lit, cuddly, Cody hugs-Meagan laughs” shot. Bravissimo!

This session is AMAZING!!!!! Meagan- you are so smokin hott it’s not even fair. I love the polka dotted dress!! Every location rocks, the poses are fantastic and her smile just melllllts. I love the snuggly bleacher pics. I can’t wait to see the rest of their journey!
This is a realllly great session. First of all, can I please have her come be my personal shopper and stylist? LOVE her style. Also they are flippin’ adorable. They are all great, but I love the feel of the stadium pictures at the end. The movie “Grease” popped into my head. 🙂 LOVE these so much.
