McG Littles : Halloween 2012

A few weeks ago, I confessed that I had no idea when I was going to find the time to shoot our kids’ Halloween portraits this year. Between two trips out of the country and a full wedding calendar waiting to be edited, I just didn’t know how it was going to happen. But when I said so on Facebook, you’d think I confessed to having kicked puppies every morning for fun! Turns out, apparently, y’all kind of like the McG kids Halloween portraits… and you know what, I’m thrilled to know that. I love taking these pictures of my babies, and knowing that our awesome blogstalkers enjoy seeing them makes it worth it to make it happen even in an exhausting month.

If you aren’t familiar with the ridiculous over-the-top awesome costume portraits we’ve done for our kids in the past, you can see 2010’s edition here, and the 2011 collection HERE.

As usual, Jack got the ultra-slick studio poster treatment, while Dot’s session was a little more natural (a better fit for a toddler who wants to run all the time). Here are my favorites of Jack, who is trick-or-treating as a Jedi this year:

Didn’t Mack do an incredible job with those posters? He’s such a cool dad.

(And, for the record, that’s me in the Darth Maul mask there on the right. We go all the way. 🙂 )

Dorothy is charming the world as Merida, from Disney’s Brave. She actually just said she wanted to be a “princess who shoots stuff”, and we figured this worked pretty well.

Her Daddy helped her figure out the best form for her bow & arrow.

That’s my silly girl.

Happy Halloween, friends!
