McG Spring 2013 Celebration Sessions : Pt. 2

When we arrived at the McG Studio at Bowen bright & early Sunday morning, we got a little nervous. It was WAY more cloudy than the weathermen had predicted even 12 hours before, with no signs of lightening up. Still, the wind from the day before had died down, and the temperatures were higher, so we stayed in good spirits.

As it turns out, we had nothing to worry about. Sunshine might photograph gloriously, but there’s something special about the way fresh spring greenery GLOWS on a cloudy day. You just can’t beat that color!

Today, we’re sharing our favorite images from the first half of Day 2… with 14 sessions happening in one day, that was just too much for one blog post.  Especially since Sunday was a day with LOTS of tiny new clients for McG! It’s as hard to narrow down pictures of happy smiling babies as it is gorgeous couples in love!

Poor baby Jim wasn’t feeling so hot for his mini session, but he managed to be a rock star and give us lots of gorgeous grins anyway. This is our second time to photograph his parents, Jill & Kurt, and we hope we’ll be seeing them more often! 🙂

Paige used our favorite donut place, Glazed, as incentive for Darren to have snuggle morning portraits made with her. I hear the deal ended up working out well for everyone. 🙂

Heather & Chad’s boys, Conner & Carter, fully embraced the idea of laying in bed reading on a Sunday morning. This is exactly the kind of thing I envisioned when we set up this prop bed under these lovely trees!

Right as Carter & Conner were leaving us, their cousin Libby showed up! 🙂 We photographed Tiffany & Landon’s wedding way back in 2009, and it was so nice to catch up and meet their precious daughter!

This next little princess… oh gosh, I wanted to steal her so bad. I’ve known Elli’s mama Amy for 15 years, and I don’t think she’s ever looked more gorgeous than when she’s loving on her beautiful girl!

Cadence is such a great big sister to Carson… observant blog stalkers might remember Carson’s birth post from back in December. 🙂

Amanda & Josh picked GREAT colors for their mini session… I need to get myself a yellow dress just like hers!

SO pretty! I love that barn!

We’re taking a small mini-session break tomorrow for a very special reason… but the final 7 sessions will be served up hot & tasty here on Friday morning. 🙂 See you then!
