Adria & Shawn : Dallas Reception

Certainly by now, you’ve seen our blog post about Adria & Shawn’s beautiful wedding in the Dominican Republic, right? Well, if you haven’t, back up a click and follow that link to all the tropical paradise wonderfulness, then you can come back here… we’ll wait. 🙂

Ah, now that we’re all on the same page, let’s talk about this awesome couple’s local reception!

We met up with Adria & Shawn on Saturday afternoon at the NYLO hotel property in downtown Dallas, where they were finishing up getting ready with Adria’s daughter Emily. It was such a relaxed feeling when we walked into the suite… just a family comfortably hanging out together, in matching shoes, getting ready to party the night away. 🙂

It’s hard to tie your own converse sneakers in a restricting wedding dress!

… showing off their new ink! Two halves of the same star.

Emily was just SO happy all day. A super fun kid to have around. 🙂

Favorite.

Adria & Shawn joined their guests at Edison’s just a few blocks from the hotel for food & dancing. The menu was a “taste of Texas”, and it was absolutely scrumptious!

Don’t adjust your screens… that IS a RedBull groom’s cake. 😉

There were many sweet & heartfelt toasts from the guests, and the bride & groom themselves. Everyone in the room was clearly just so excited for these three to officially start their lives together.

Lori, of Melodies & Memories, provided awesome entertainment for the evening… including a rousing arrangement of Gangham Style with a few of the younger members of the crowd. 🙂

A big group hug to end the evening…

Congratulations, you guys. We feel like over the last 6 months, planning this adventure with you, we’ve made dear friends. We hope the road between here & Tulsa won’t keep us apart, and we’ll get to see you again soooooon!

Wow, you guys! Just wow! I set an alarm so I could see these the instant they were posted and it was worth every second of lost sleep! You guys have just been an inspiration in every way. You take breathtaking photographs, you have an amazing marriage that you work very hard at, you have beautiful children, you are an absolute riot to be around, and we are just so blessed to call you friends! We can never say THANK YOU enough for all that you’ve done for us. You have gone so far above and beyond “wedding photographer”. You are artists and you are friends and we L-O-V-E you! Thank you again for the beautiful memories (on and off camera).
