Madlyn & Willum : Wedding Pt. 2

Welcome back, and happy Friday!

It’s been a great week for us here in BlogLand. It’s always so rewarding when something we’re particularly proud of catches some online attention and we get some feedback. This entire month has been a fabulous start to our wedding season… and we’ve got three busy months left to go! 🙂

We’re wrapping up today with Madlyn & Willum’s beautiful wedding at Christoval Winery, starting with their ceremony then moving in to their reception. If by some tragedy you missed out on the epic gorgeousness that was the portrait post yesterday, you owe it to your eyeballs to keep on scrolling and check that one out, too.

As I’ve written before, we were VERY lucky not to have any rain for Madlyn & Willum’s ceremony. In fact, I’m almost certain that if they hadn’t gone ahead and ordered the tent, it would have rained for sure. But luck favors the prepared, and not only did the rain stop, but you’ll also see that some amazing color managed to break through the clouds to give a hint at a glorious ceremony sunset. It was a magical evening, for sure.

Enjoy!

I extra-special-love the image below on the left, with Willum’s father & grandfather in the frame. That’s a heritage, right there!

That COLOR.

Man & Wife!

As quickly as the sun peeked out, it was gone, and we were glad for the gorgeous ambient light in front of the chapel…

And then, of course, we took a few minutes to play with some NON-natural lighting. 🙂

The reception spanned three areas… a tented area, an un-tented patio, and the inside of the chapel. It flowed so nicely all evening, and people were able to either enjoy the dance party, or enjoy visiting on a quiet evening!

This was our first experience with a “naked cake”, and I’ve gotta say, this is RIGHT up my alley. I’m not a girl who loves icing, so this just gives me more of the good stuff. 🙂

You guys… thank you.

Thank you for picking us before you picked the ring. Thank you for investing in us, and for setting us free. Thank you for making us feel like such an important part of your celebration, and for being so unashamedly in love with each other. In no small part, thank you for being gorgeous… but really, your SPIRITS are the most beautiful thing about you. We just love you kids to pieces, and we’re so happy you got the wedding day you’ve been dreaming of. Congratulations!

I told someone yesterday that I’m most thankful we didn’t skimp on the photography for our wedding, as no one should. And it was a no-brainer who we would choose, considering I’d stalked y’all at least a year prior to even meeting you. You two have amazed us from the very beginning and have NEVER failed to deliver the most amazing images. We can’t even begin to thank you for capturing these memories for us and for being people that we kind of love too 😉 That’s just the best part. You surpassed every expectation we ever had and we love these pictures to pieces. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Now….. which ones to put on canvases????? Sheesh! 🙂

There it is, the culmination of our ridiculously successful wedding, and the pictures capture every part of it we hoped they would. How many times can I/should I thank you guys for everything you’ve done for us, going above and beyond our expectations???

    Love you guys.

To be honest, I feel like I’m out of words for this wedding. It was such a beautiful day – and I am SO, so happy with the way it turned out, both in real life and in photographs. Another job very well done 🙂

  6. Carolyn says:

Everything about this wedding was so very well coordinated, and the results show that from beginning to end. Congratulations to the bride and groom, but also to the photographers for capturing such beautiful memories for a wonderful couple.

Well, first of all, I cried. Again. And I suspect that I will every time I come back to look at these. I would not have missed being there for the world, but the pictures make it even… MORE. Moments frozen in time that I can review at my leisure, and some things that I missed seeing it LIVE. Like the sunset. (I was NOT looking at the sky on THE day.) These pictures are precious treasures.

I started to write down all my favorite pictures, but gave up when I hit 10. This wedding was beyond beautiful with all of the neat little things you found everywhere! And Madlyn looked exquisite! Awesome pictures!! 🙂
