Amelia & CeCe : Newborn Celebrations

It’s BABY SEASON in McGLand. Three babies on the blog last week, two this week, and another two coming next week… and I don’t mind a bit. 🙂

Excuse me while I gush a little bit about the “mini” newborn session I’m sharing first today. Our amazing friends Jeremy & Christy (who you will recognize from blog posts like THIS ONE, THIS ONE, and THIS ONE) welcomed their daughter to Amelia to the world on March 20th, and we got to meet her last Monday. I only shot a little bit, because I was way too busy snuggling my faux-niece, and telling her all about all the ways I’m going to spoil her. There’s something pretty amazing about being in love with a baby that isn’t yours… Mack and I talked about all the amazing things we’re going to be able to do with this kid, because we can spoil her rotten and send her home to her parents. My arms have been aching to hold her since before I knew she was in my bestie’s belly, and it was just SO wonderful to finally get to meet her.

Life changes & friendship changes & people grow. But adding babies to the mix is only always wonderful.

If I have my way, this little nugget is going to be featured a LOT on the blog. Pretty much anytime they’ll bring her to see me, we’re going to do dress up photo shoots. 🙂

One week ago today, I went and met the Newman family! Sweet baby CeCe had some struggles right after she was born, so newborn photos weren’t an option. Luckily, now at 3 months old, she’s happy as a clam & getting healthier every day. A sweet ‘n’ simple shoot that just felt like “real life” around their home was just the ticket to celebrate this precious girl’s life, and how much her parents love having her with them.

Those eyes!! Ugh, CeCe’s going to be a heartbreaker, for sure. 🙂
