Ally was one of those lucky DFW brides who had GORGEOUS weather on her wedding day this fall. November 2nd was the day we shot Leslie & Ryan’s wedding, so we weren’t able to capture Ally & Andrew’s big day… but this bride knew she wanted McG portraits to hang on her walls anyway. After her boudoir session (best wedding gift EVER, right Andrew?? 😉 ), she booked a session with us to take place the week after her wedding, and we were excited to see them.
And then, the rain. It seems like this was the rainiest fall EVER. So we rescheduled… for last week, when the ice storm hit. YEESH! It seemed like there was NEVER going to be nice enough weather to shoot this awesome couple!
Luckily, the sun eventually came out again, and we finally got together, and man… the weather was perfect after all. It was cold (it’s December, after all), but SO gorgeous with the sun glistening off the last of the ice. We might have had a short autumn, but the freeze was so abrupt that it actually preserved a little color in some of the leaves, and Ally got the fall images she was hoping for!
Enjoy some of our favorites from this session at the McG Studio with Ally & Andrew!
This next shot isn’t a pose… Ally just sometimes throws her arms around Andrew’s neck to kiss him. Ahhhh newlywed life. 🙂
Steeeeeeamy.
This set just makes me SWOON!
Check out the shadow! Awesome little bonus.
Ally & Andrew, Congratulations!! We hope we were able to make your 5 week wedding anniversary something you’ll always remember, and that we’ll be able to photograph you again for the next life milestones. 🙂
