Before we left for vacation, we spent a day (ok, fine, lots of days) working on choosing the images for our annual “Best of” contest. That contest won’t launch here on the blog until January 7th, and it’s going to be awesome.

Woven in between all the contests for our incredible clients, we had a great time re-reading some of our personal posts from 2012. While this is definitely a blog where we showcase our work, it’s also a scrapbook of sorts… when something is happening in the life of McG, y’all are likely to know about it!

And so, we thought it’d be fitting to post a little “Year in Review” post of those images, too. Between our amazing travels and personal milestones and the growth of our beautiful children, it’s been a banner year. We started our 2012 in Utah, and we’re finishing it in California, with trips to several states and two other countries in between. Who knows what the next year will bring??

Salt Lake City around the holidays is just incredible… I’d love to go back someday!

Valentine’s Day 2012 was SUPER special to us… it’s the day Jack became an official McGowan! 🙂 After the adoption proceedings were complete, we celebrated at the Zoo and Medieval Times, as per the man of honor’s request! I know “Gotcha Day” will be something we all remember for the rest of our lives.

We spent some time in Shiner, TX for a gorgeous engagement session!

We spent a few days in Port Aransas in July. I definitely want to make this a yearly trip… it was so perfect.

Oooh, and we did Vegas. Lots of Vegas. I wanna do Vegas again.

Oh, and Vancouver!!! Most gorgeous trip, for sure.

And Aruba… blue skies for days, and SO much relaxing fun. I’m a new superfan of elopements. 🙂

It was a great year to be Jack… he turned 9, is destroying the 4th grade in the best way, and getting more and more handsome all the time.

It was a great year to be a two-year-old Dorothy, too. 🙂

We loved our time with friends from near & far…

We’ve loved this Christmas season…

And we love YOU!

Really, it’s true.

It seems cliche, because we don’t *KNOW* all of you, but I swear, it’s the truth. When we meet blogstalkers, we hug them, and we mean it. YOU are why we have this incredible life, and these adventures. YOU are why we work so hard and so late. You are why our children feel famous. This blog is so special to us, and without you who regularly read it, our business wouldn’t be near the success that it is.
